A fabulous day at the Knitting and Stitch Show, Ally Pally

This was my first trip to the Knitting and Stitch show and also my first visit to Alexandra Palace in London.  What a fabulous place it is - a grand building with a glass roof.  I was here on a coach trip with Solihull Embroiderers' Guild.  A pity we did not get longer as by the time we had got there, parked and entered the show it was almost 12.00 and we had to be back at the coach by 4 pm.  I felt quite overwhelmed as I normally do at these events, by the sheer volume of stalls, exhibitions and art work to see.  I try to keep to a strategy of just wending in and out, up and down the stalls so I don't miss any but its still a lot to take in and when I finally had to leave to meet the coach I realised I had only scratched the surface and still had the main hall to see.  To do this show justice you really need to get here early and spend the whole day here or stay overnight and spread it over 2 days.  Maybe do that next year.  The same show also travels to Dublin and Harrogate later in November.
