Janice Gunner Workshop on Free Form Piecing

Had a great time at quilter Janice Gunner's Workshop yesterday with the Embroiderers' Guild.  We were learning how to do free form piecing which is a method of quilting without using templates.  No boring log-cabins - you can be as expressing and experimental as you like which suits me fine as I prefer contemporary quilting.  I'm not a great fan of the rigid, traditional and purist attitude to quilting where everything has to be just so.   Anyway a great day was had by all and even though it was a lovely sunny day outside I think we were in the best place as the hall was so wonderfully cool and airy.
